I remember watching the Haunting of Hill House and having the deep willies when the thing came out of the wall in the basement.
I sat down right after and did the drawing to let it out of my head. No sense in waking up sweating in middle of the night over that imagery. Excellent film work in the spooky department all around.
If you are not familiar with the story, here is a brief synopsis:

The story follows the Crain family, who move into Hill House to renovate and sell it. However, they soon discover that the house is haunted by malevolent spirits.
