When I did this oil painting, I was at a point in life where everything was coming apart and I felt that I was being unfairly scrutinized.
In hindsight, I wonder how much of it was paranoia and how much of it was genuine. Either way, this is an example of one of my paintings that actually directly expresses a feeling that I had very accurately. It still makes me uncomfortable to look at it.
